CONSIDER THIS: If you've ever talked with an agent affiliated with a "large brand" (you’ve seen their signs), you have likely been told that "Our Company sells more homes in the local market than any other firm in the area." With that in mind, consider this: "Large brand" firms are in the agent business. Meaning that their goal is to hire and have as many agents as possible. Of course with that business model, the more agents you have-the more signs you'll have in the market place.
BUT…does that really mean that they can sell each of their listings for a higher sales price and quicker than the small local firms that have been in business for decades? Of course not.
If you looked closely at the same statistical information, many of those same firms have the largest number of expired listings (homes that didn't sell during the listing period), and largest number of "days on market" (number of days the home has been on the market and still unsold). It works both ways.
